motionsquare GmbH founded 2008 and located in Basel region, Switzerland, is a consultancy network specialised in organisational consultancy with a strong focus on life science.

We work with leaders and their teams to define and translate vision into successful strategies and meaningful activities.

Our core services

We support organisations, leaders and teams to plan and implement change—from strategy through to sustained adoption—at global, regional and local levels.

Change Management

With strategic and operational change management, we support our clients in setting direction, objectives, and success criteria and translating them into plans, roles, risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, communication, and enablement.

We guide sponsors and change teams through the three phases of change: planning, implementation, and refinement. With a focus on human behavior, we help create the conditions for people to have the capability, motivation, and permission to adopt new ways of working.

By aligning technical excellence with people-centered change management, change is not just implemented but embraced and ultimately sustained.

Team Development

We focus on strengthening team alignment, collaboration, and shared purpose.

As team coaches, we provide teams with the structure and tools to gain clarity on the current status quo, what it is the team wants to achieve and to support team members to leverage their resources to decide how to get there.

We design and facilitate workshops that bring clarity to vision, strategy, and performance goals — helping teams leverage their diversity, build trust, and develop the resilience needed to thrive under pressure.

Founder of motion², business entrepreneur, and passionate networker with a proven track record in helping leaders and teams translate strategy into tangible results.

In order to create meaningful change, Barbara believes movement and constant learning is essential - both personally and organizationally.

With a strong scientific background (Diploma in Biochemistry, University of Düsseldorf; PhD, Max Planck Institute Marburg), she combines analytical thinking with a deep curiosity about human behavior and systemic dynamics.

Barbara brings over 25 years' international business expertise to the pharmaceutical and life science industries. With leadership experience in various international roles and more than 17 years experience as an organizational consultant who has worked successfully in the areas of change management, team development, and leadership coaching. Barbara has broad methodological knowledge and masters a wide range of tools including Systemic Organizational and Team Development, Business Coaching, Transactional Analysis, Functional Fluency, Appreciative Inquiry, INSIGHTS MDI®, and the Zürcher Resource Model (ZRM®).

As an Associate Professor at DHBW Lörrach, Barbara is passionate about bridging theory with practice and developing the next generation of leaders.
